Working with: The University of Bradford, Watson Batty Architects, AA Projects
The University of Bradford STEM building has been designed as part of a national educational programme designed to boost achievement in science (S), technology (T), engineering (E) and maths (M). Universities in the programme provide best-practice teaching facilities and local schools hire the space to support their courses to allow pupils to make use of first-class facilities that will raise standards and inspire further learning.
The single-storey scheme was built using pre-fabricated timber-frame panels and is targeting BREEAM ‘Outstanding’. It has been certified as achieving the Passivhaus standard.
