A 350 bed student accommodation scheme with a concrete frame with brick cladding, aluminium windows and electric heating system.
Our role was to carry out full pre-construction services including managing client and contractor expectations and managing the design team back to value against stringent planning implications. We have also supported the client with third party access and oversailing issues.
we increased the number of beds from 326 to 350 by adding five storeys to the scheme, which increased the client Development Appraisal
we designed-out the wet heating system and moved to an all electric system. This proved to be significant in helping the client achieving budget.
The client and contractor have agreed to commence the scheme based upon our Contract sum, Programme, Contractors Proposals, Provisional Sums and Contract Conditions.
